just a note to say hi and that i love the website! it brought back a lot of memories when i read the history. dad (bill) thought the world of mr.jimmy and i did too. he gave me my first job! we miss him greatly. he believed in pleasing his customers. and that he did. may god bless the gardners. kay

I remember working part-time for Roger's supermarket in 1974 when I was a student at Northeast. Gerald Gardner was always so funny. I loved coming to work everyday. Jimmy and Gerald were really great to work for. I enjoy shopping every week at Gardner's...the employees are really nice and helpful. Wal-mart could take lessons!!!!!

I lived just down the highway from 1974-1979 and did all my shopping at this store. When I came back for a visit a couple of years ago , I was delighted to see you are still there.

My family has shopped at Gardner's for as long as I can remember. I used to also work the stores as a merchandiser and felt right at home there. Friendly, familiar faces!

Glad to find your web site. I remember when the store was Frank's. My parents traded with Mr. Franks before Mr. Gardner purchased the store and continued doing so after the sale. I remember my dad selling items to Mr. Franks and to Jimmy for resale in their store. Needless to say when I married and moved back to the area, I carried on the tradition of trading with this store. Thanks for a nice home-town store.
